Overview

Systems, LLC, an affiliate of Chamberlain Group, is a U.S.-based manufacturer of loading dock equipment. This role within Systems' Manufacturing and Production group involves welding and assembling various metal components using both manual and robotic techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Weld and assemble different pieces using hand held welding equipment.
  • Prepare and complete work on materials by welding, cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal.
  • Test and inspect welded components to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Work from different specifications and shop orders.
  • Utilize tools to take and read measurements.
  • Operate cranes, hoists, and lift tables.
  • Report damages on machines and maintain equipment safely.
  • Report unsafe conditions to management.
  • Monitor and control the robotic welding process.
  • Operate robotic welding equipment for welding tasks.
  • Perform visual inspections of weld quality.
  • Program robotic welding systems.
  • Provide work reports and feedback to supervisors or engineering teams.
  • Set up and prepare robotic welding equipment for operation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information.
  • Contribute to team efforts and participate in projects as needed.

Requirements

  • No minimum education required.
  • 1+ year of robotic welding experience required.
  • Basic knowledge of MIG welding and handheld plasma machines.
  • Basic knowledge of welding techniques, material characteristics, and structural fundamentals.
  • Preferred: Recognized robotic welding certification.
  • Preferred: Prior experience with solid core wires and argon/oxygen welding gases.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years experience in a robotic welding environment.
