Job Description

Overview

Door Engineering, a Senneca Brand, manufactures custom industrial and commercial doors and is seeking welders to join their team at the Mankato facility. This role involves welding while ensuring quality and production standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Review blueprints, drawings, and project specifications prior to production.
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the welding process.
  • Maintain proper documentation related to welding operations and production output.
  • Work closely with production teams and leadership to meet manufacturing schedules.
  • Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist in improving robotic welding processes and efficiencies when possible.

Requirements

  • D1 certification - or ability to pass test - preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding or fabrication environments preferred.
  • Experience operating or programming robotic welding equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, and gauges.
  • Ability to lift 25–50 pounds frequently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic robotic welding or fabrication issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet production deadlines.

  • Weekend Shift: 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
