Overview

GE Vernova is seeking entry-level TIG Welders to join their Gas Power Manufacturing plant in Greenville, SC. The company focuses on providing reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy solutions while fostering a supportive and safety-first work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, arrange, fit, and assemble materials and components using TIG welding processes.
  • Assess weld parameter inputs and make adjustments during welding.
  • Interpret and execute production using drawings and blueprints.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and computer entries accurately and timely.
  • Perform precision measurements using tools such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Collaborate in a team environment focused on lean manufacturing and safety.
  • Take ownership of compliance, safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Utilize computer programs to enter part data and log time.
  • Utilize work instructions and method documents to set up parts for welding.
  • Ability to work overtime and occasional weekend shifts.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited welding program or 0-2 years of industrial welding experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and perform shop math.
  • Proficient in TIG (GTAW) welding and able to pass the weld test.
  • Willingness to work 2nd shift (2 PM – 10:30 PM, M-F) and overtime.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and wear PPE.
  • Pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
