Overview

TekWissen is a global workforce management provider that offers strategic talent solutions worldwide. The Assembler position involves assembling and testing products in a temporary role located in Whittier, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Setup new production work areas, including layouts, tooling and equipment setup.
  • Assist with transition from development to production, including first articles.
  • Manufacture, assemble, and test mechanical, fluid and electrical measurement equipment assemblies according to written procedures and engineering models.
  • Perform precision seam welding work for long periods of time seated at machine.
  • Interface with production leads, supervisors, manager and QA inspection to ensure timely customer delivery.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct discrepancies by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control.
  • Setup and operate precision calibrated tools including weld controllers and gauges.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years direct experience in industrial manufacturing or relevant field.
  • Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
  • Basic mathematics skills such as calculating spring rates.
  • Hand dexterity required to assemble small mechanical or electrical components.
  • Basic computer skills such as Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to climb ladders/stairs and work in small restricted areas.
  • Perform repetitive work including lifting of heavy items up to 44 lbs.
  • Work off-shift, extended hours overtime, and weekends if necessary.
