Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic (Temporary/Contract) is responsible for performing mechanical repairs, design, modifications, and routine maintenance of infrastructure and manufacturing equipment, tools, and machines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical work to ensure design and manufacturing meets OEM or design specifications.
  • Service and repair rotating and reciprocating machinery including pumps, motors, combustion engines, fans, and more.
  • Design, repair, build, and modify application-specific plumbing using condition-designed materials.
  • Safely use tools including mill, lathe, grinders, drills, and various gauges.
  • Maintain accurate records in computer maintenance management software.
  • Follow directions and work schedules according to the assigned Maintenance Coordinator or Supervisor.
  • Complete any other tasks assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in trades such as machinist, mechanic, millwright, or pipefitter.
  • Knowledge of general mechanical and engineering principles.
  • Ability to operate tool manufacturing equipment including mill and lathe.
  • Able to read and comprehend mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work at heights.
