Overview

Linde Inc. is seeking a Cryo Mechanic in East Chicago, IN, who will perform maintenance and repairs on cryogenic trailers and systems while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires strong mechanical skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on cryogenic trailers and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair cryogenic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Communicate equipment status and maintenance updates to stakeholders.
  • Review DVIR and out-of-service reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Operate tractor-trailers, forklifts, aerial lifts, and skid steers.
  • Perform loading support activities for cryogenic product trailers.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of cryogenic product trailers and pumping systems.
  • Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and trailer inspection requirements.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments and interpret technical documentation.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and support general maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license required; CDL Class A with Tanker and HazMat endorsements preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work an eight-hour daytime shift and participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and operational documentation.
