Overview

Join our Assembly & Test team at the Daniel Road location and help transform engineered concepts into production-ready mechanical chambers and assemblies. You’ll own the craft—installing/removing Helicoils, fitting components, cleansing to specification, and verifying that every requirement is met before release.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and fit mechanical components into chambers and final assemblies for testing.
  • Install and remove Helicoils as required.
  • Diagnose assembly issues and collaborate on solutions.
  • Perform final cleaning per customer standards and procedures.
  • Conduct in-process inspections; document conformance and report any damage.
  • Confirm completion of all assembly, finishing, and testing activities prior to sign-off.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and quality to satisfy customer quality expectations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Hands-on mechanical experience with cars, trucks, small engines, and/or body work.
  • 3–5 years of mechanical assembly experience is a plus.
  • Skilled at interpreting customer engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Able to read technical procedures, professional journals, business periodicals, and regulations.
  • Comfort with probability and statistical inference; understanding of plane and solid geometry and basic trigonometry.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and reach valid conclusions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Hand tool proficiency.
  • Introductory blueprint reading capability.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable.

  • Regular reaching with hands/arms; frequent talking/hearing; standing, walking, sitting; and hands/fingers for handling or feeling.
  • Often standing while working; ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Vision requirements: close vision, depth perception, color vision, and focus adjustment.
  • Noise levels are usually moderate and sometimes loud.
