Overview

Eastman is a global specialty materials company founded in 1920, producing a wide range of products used daily. The Packager role involves operating and maintaining production equipment safely and efficiently, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring quality assurance in the packaging process.

Responsibilities

• Perform work associated with receiving, blending, packaging, reworking, and shipping lubricants
• Safely operate forklift
• Set up and operate machinery including inspection, filling, marking, weighing, labeling, banding, tying, gluing, packing, and wrapping containers
• Observe operations and inspect/record packaged items for quality assurance
• Perform troubleshooting, mechanical maintenance, and preventive maintenance as needed
• Report any issues to the management team
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized tools
• Follow documented procedures and perform basic computer activities
• Participate in plant safety rules, policies, and programs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver's license required
• Minimum 3 years manufacturing experience with production, warehousing, maintenance, and/or process experience required
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment
• Ability to operate packaging and process equipment safely
• Ability to obtain TWIC
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to use computers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good dependability and attendance
• Willingness to work Monday through Friday day shift, with occasional overtime/weekends/off-shifts as needed

• This is a union position
• The starting rate for this position is $30.23 per hour
