Overview

The Product Development Engineer position at a Medical Device Company in Franklin Lakes, NJ involves performing technical tasks related to product functional assessment, including concept feasibility, design verification, and new product development of medical devices. Responsibilities

  • Perform technical tasks related to product functional assessment.
  • Execute test protocols using mechanical laboratory equipment.
  • Assist in planning, execution, and data analysis of experiments.
  • Report results to project leadership and prepare technical reports.
  • Provide technical support on laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
  • Participate in investigations related to equipment, test methods, or quality issues.
  • Support continuous improvement of lab processes.
  • Assist in onboarding and training of other associates.
  • Maintain good laboratory and documentation practices.
  • Ensure compliance with client policies and applicable standards.

Requirements

  • BS degree in engineering is desirable, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 0-2 years of engineering or technical experience is required, preferably in medical devices.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical measurement equipment is desirable.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize statistical tools and computer analysis.
