Overview

West Star is a rapidly growing maintenance repair organization committed to delivering customer service excellence through a talented team. The Sheet Metal Technician III role involves performing various sheet metal operations and supporting project management while fostering personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, and cutting on airframe and associated components.
  • Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening, and finish materials.
  • Maintain, clean, and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling as required.
  • Utilize basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
  • Effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Complete any other job-related duties assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Airframe and Powerplant License preferred.
  • Valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or valid passport is ideal but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience working with sheet metal is preferred.
  • Self-motivated team player able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation to work each day.

Additional Information

  • Work is performed in a hangar environment subject to extreme temperature variations.
  • Work outside during aircraft runs will occur.
  • Routine walking, bending, squatting, or sitting required.
