Overview

CECO Environmental is a global leader in providing sustainable solutions for industrial air, water, and energy transition. The Associate Structural Engineer designs safe, efficient structural systems for industrial exhaust ducting, supporting power generation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform member sizing conforming to LRFD and/or ASD methods per AISC 360.
  • Develop 3D structural models of ducting, internal liners, and support steel.
  • Ensure designs meet AISC 360, ASCE 7, AWS D1.1, and applicable international building codes.
  • Review fabrication drawings, answer shop inquiries, and resolve material issues.
  • Coordinate with pipe stress/mechanical engineers, project engineers/managers, and drafting personnel.
  • Prepare clear, organized structural calculation packages for client review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
  • Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, or RISA-3D, and AutoCAD.
  • Basic understanding of high-temperature materials and thermal expansion.
