Job Description

Overview

Superior Tube is seeking a Machine Operator for their 3rd shift, responsible for setting up, operating, and inspecting equipment used in the production of precision metal tubing. The company is a leader in the tubing industry, serving critical applications in aerospace, defense, nuclear, and medical sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide recommendations to operations teams to resolve safety concerns and proactively reduce safety risks.
  • Set up, operate, adjust equipment, and lay out material to meet health & safety, quality, and production standards.
  • Measure and visually inspect product, applying in-process quality control methods and statistical process control during processing.
  • Perform Total Productive Maintenance such as cleaning tooling and inspecting accessible parts for wear.
  • Change tooling, fluids, and media on operated equipment.
  • Handle and transport material and supplies manually to maintain product flow.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or industrial facilities.
  • Experience in metal working operations is a plus.
  • Preferred experience with equipment such as tube drawing, furnaces, tube rollers/reducers, and polishing.
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools and experience with micrometers or calipers preferred.
  • Must operate with credibility and professional integrity.
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  • Must be able to meet essential physical functions of the position.

Additional Information

  • This is an on-site position working in a manufacturing facility.
  • The work schedule is 12am-8am Monday-Friday.
