Overview

Tuscan Dairy is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join their team, responsible for ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment through maintenance on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems. The company is a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), dedicated to delivering quality dairy products to communities.

Responsibilities

  • Complete maintenance requirements on production, packaging, processing equipment, and utility systems.
  • Safely operate power equipment.
  • Assist the plant maintenance team with coordination of inspections and special events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience.
  • Boiler Experience preferred.
  • Ammonia Refrigeration Experience preferred.
  • NJ Boiler License preferred.
  • NJ Refrigeration License preferred.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, pull, push, reach and bend virtually the entire shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and assist others when lifting is necessary.
  • Must be able to work in a wet environment.
  • Must be able to legibly write entries for record keeping.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
  • Driver’s license required to operate a company-owned vehicle.
