Overview

The Wind Technician Development Program (TOP) is an entry-level career development opportunity in wind power, created through a partnership between Sky Climber Renewables and Vestas Americas. Technicians receive exclusive training and work locally to ensure safe and efficient maintenance of wind turbine generator equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenance, operations, and upgrades following established procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of tools and use them safely.
  • Dismantle and assemble basic machinery, components, and equipment.
  • Accurately document all work performed.
  • Follow all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must live within 1-hour commuting distance to job site unless actively relocating.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Successful completion of a climb preview prior to hire.
