Overview

The Technician, Facility Services, HVAC, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and related building equipment to ensure optimal facility operations. This role requires effective communication, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with management and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Install HVAC systems, ductwork, and control components following technical plans and regulatory standards.
  • Configure and calibrate building automation and direct digital control systems to meet operational requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues affecting HVAC equipment and facility systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure optimal system performance and reduce downtime.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, parts usage, and work orders.
  • Operate company vehicles safely to complete service calls within assigned regions.
  • Communicate effectively with facility operators and management regarding service status and recommendations.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support operational needs outside regular hours.

Requirements

  • Vocational or technical HVAC certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls.
  • Option 1: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling equipment, or related trades.
  • Option 2: 2 years’ store experience.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
  • Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for the handling and servicing of refrigerants.
  • Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
  • Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
  • No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
  • No serious traffic violations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
