Overview

SRM Concrete is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician in Atlanta, GA, who enjoys hands-on problem solving and maintaining plant operations. The role involves a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the plant runs smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Handle a wide range of maintenance tasks to keep the plant running strong.
  • Inspect equipment and systems regularly to identify potential issues.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to avoid breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
  • Use welding skills to fabricate, repair, or reinforce plant equipment.
  • Work with plant leaders to prioritize maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain clear records of maintenance work performed.
  • Learn new techniques and stay updated on safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with outside experts for specialized repairs.
  • Identify and correct safety hazards in the plant.
  • Assist in various tasks as needed to support the team.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in plant, industrial, or manufacturing maintenance.
  • Experience in a concrete plant is a plus.
  • Skilled in electrical work, plumbing, and welding.
  • Quick-thinking problem solver under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills for teamwork and solo work.
  • Commitment to safety and familiarity with safety regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical training or vocational degree is a bonus.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate plant machinery.
  • Willingness to complete pre-employment screenings.
  • Availability for emergency repairs, including nights or weekends.
