Overview

Six Flags White Water is seeking a qualified Water Park Mechanic responsible for the inspection, repair, and upkeep of various water park attractions and components. This full-time position offers competitive pay and benefits, and is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect water park rides and attractions, notifying management of any hazards.
  • Perform ride inspection and maintenance programs per established standards.
  • Maintain and repair water park attractions, swimming pools, and park facilities.
  • Visually and physically inspect ride components, including water slides and plumbing systems.
  • Conduct basic mechanical repairs of ride vehicle components.
  • Inspect and repair fiberglass waterslides.
  • Maintain the Six Flags Water Quality program.
  • Respond to work orders and conduct repairs as needed.
  • Adhere to park policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic mechanical skills.
  • Experience in FRP fabrication/repair, polyester, gelcoat, and epoxy lamination.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interact professionally with other departments.
  • Must troubleshoot safely in the presence of guests and management.
  • Ability to write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Meet physical demands including lifting, bending, and working at heights.
  • Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
  • Valid Drivers’ License and clean DMV report.
  • Must pass a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) course within 12 months.
