Overview

The Electrical Wiring Fab position involves assembling and wiring electrical, radio, and radar assemblies according to engineering specifications. The role requires reading wiring diagrams and operating automated wire processing machines, with a focus on precision and adherence to established practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and wire electrical, radio, and radar assemblies.
  • Form and run harnesses on jig boards to established layout.
  • Perform continuity checks as required.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, wire cards, and production illustrations.
  • Obtain information from detail blueprints.
  • Use arithmetic including decimals and fractions.
  • Set up and operate automated wire processing machines.
  • Follow authorized production documents, machine set-up charts, and operating instructions.
  • Complete eight weeks of training including testing and hands-on demonstration.

Requirements

  • Six months of electrical wire harness fabrication or electrical assembly experience.
  • Experience can include documented wire processing machine operation.
  • Must perform and pass Proficiency Demonstration to retain employment.
