Overview

The Production Specialist II position involves working in optical fiber manufacturing, performing various tasks including machine operation, material handling, and product inspection. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work in a clean room environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of bench and assembly work.
  • Operate machines requiring limited interrelated adjustments with detailed procedures.
  • Assist in loading, unloading, string-up, set-up, and operation of complex machines.
  • Test and inspect in-process and completed products.
  • Perform material handling duties requiring operation of all types of material handling equipment.
  • Receive, store, stage, and ship all types of materials and products.
  • Communicate and instruct other Level 2 employees.
  • Perform work assignment and coordinating duties for a group of Level 2 employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School GED or equivalent.
  • Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to work any shift or work schedule.
  • Some technical school is desirable.
  • Reading and writing in English.
  • Basic computer use and software skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Time management skills.

Additional Information

  • Night shift available from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
  • Work is conducted in a clean room environment.
