Overview

LIGHTERA is a global leader in optical fiber and connectivity solutions, delivering innovative technologies for communication networks. The company is seeking a Pipefitter to support its Maintenance Department in Norcross, GA, responsible for the installation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment related to fiber optic processes.

Responsibilities

  • Independently plan work assignments and perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Train and direct plant trades helpers, junior trades workers, and trainees.
  • Collaborate with personnel to resolve problems and recommend solutions.
  • Wear and properly store all personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Two years of accredited Trades School with certification or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated basic skills associated with pipefitting.
  • Qualified as an Emergency Response Technician Level as per federal regulations.
  • Training and certification in Emergency Medical Service as defined by the State of Georgia.
  • Pass required physical as specified in federal and state regulations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machine problems.
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English.
  • Understand and read process and instrumentation diagrams and piping diagrams.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Strong computer skills for looking up machine parts and schematics.
