Job Description

Overview

UPS is currently hiring a Building and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Mechanic responsible for maintenance activities to keep a UPS package handling facility operating efficiently. The role requires strong electrical skills and the ability to work various shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting, adjusting, and replacing AC and DC electrical equipment.
  • Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing mechanical components.
  • Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing pneumatic equipment.
  • Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing hydraulic equipment.
  • Welding equipment as defined by scope of work.
  • Performing preventive maintenance inspections of plant equipment.

Requirements

  • Strong electrical background.
  • Must pass electrical assessments.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., or authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift in a 24 x 7 operation.
  • Possible shift will be 3rd/twilight shift hours.
