Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the safe operation and maintenance of building facilities, demonstrating competency in areas such as electrical, mechanical/HVAC systems, plumbing, or plant operations. The role involves various repair and maintenance tasks to ensure the building's functionality and appearance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the safe operation and maintenance of building facilities.
  • Repairs and adjusts doors, windows, closures, panic devices and locks.
  • Patches holes, installs escutcheons, and repairs ceiling and floor tile as needed.
  • Makes minor masonry and wood repairs.
  • Installs pictures, coat hooks, and other wall hung furnishings as requested.
  • Performs preventive maintenance activities and responds to customer complaints.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in building maintenance.
  • Working knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, plant operations, structural, or general carpentry.
  • May require a valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Some positions may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
