Overview

At IPG, a global leader in packaging and protective solutions, the Production Maintenance Technician provides essential maintenance support for the plant, ensuring the reliability and safety of equipment. Responsibilities

  • Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment including motors, relays, and switches on varied machinery.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and maintains records for safe, reliable equipment.
  • Serves as point person for production personnel regarding preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Diagnoses and repairs forklifts, pumps, hydraulics, and other related equipment.
  • Maintains and refills parts inventory.
  • Responds promptly to unplanned equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
  • Communicates effectively with machine operators and supervisors about equipment issues and safety concerns.
  • Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment properly.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues as needed.
  • Completes related tasks as requested by supervisor.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in Industrial Maintenance required.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, circuitry, PLC, AC/DC drivers, and welding fabrication.
  • Intermediate math and computer skills and English written communication skills necessary.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 70 lbs, and work in hot environments.
  • Ability to meet objectives and deadlines with minimal supervision.
