Overview

West Star Aviation is a leading independent Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) provider with over 78 years of industry experience. The Aircraft Interior Technician role involves working on sophisticated private aircraft interiors, performing various mechanical tasks and repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft interiors and related systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair damaged or worn interior components.
  • Make minor modifications to panels, seats, carpets, cabinetry, upholstery, etc.
  • Measure, cut, and fit materials such as leather, fabric, and composites for interior refurbishments.
  • Assist in aircraft detailing and cleaning.
  • Maintain and repair the shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills to navigate electronic training materials, manuals, and maintenance databases.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the shop and surrounding areas.
  • Work independently when required.
  • Effectively communicate in English.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by a supervisor or management.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience working on private aviation interiors is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal but not required.
  • Self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation to get to work each day.
