Job Description

Overview

This entry-level position at a Solar Pile fabrication facility involves painting finished products, general material handling, and assisting operators and maintenance. The role is specifically for the night shift.

Responsibilities

  • Paint finished products according to customer specifications using paint sprayers and/or brushes.
  • Ensure products are tagged correctly for proper placement in the inventory yard after painting.
  • Assist with inventory management by identifying and counting bundles and validating material locations.
  • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely, completing required pre-use inspections.
  • Assist forklift drivers with cutting banding or tags, scanning bundles, and handling dunnage.
  • Handle the movement of materials for efficient access and disposal, including emptying scrap buckets.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure materials meet customer specifications.
  • Refill tags at the tagging robot and manually tag products as needed.
  • Assist team members with the rework process following established guidelines.
  • Follow ISO standards and practices for zero defects and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate production records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic understanding of English, written and verbal.
  • General math skills.
  • Basic ability to use a computer, touch screens, and scanning guns.
  • 1-2 years experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.

Additional Information

  • This position requires working some overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must communicate effectively and professionally with team members, leadership, customers, and suppliers.
  • Follow all PPE requirements and safety rules/guidelines.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition following 5S standards.
