Overview

Altrad Sparrows is a global provider of specialist engineering, inspection, operations, and maintenance services to the offshore energy, industrial, and renewables markets. The Winch Assembly Mechanic position involves performing in-shop repairs and overhauls, focusing on winches, valves, hydraulic components, and various machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Overhaul winches, valves and hydraulic components.
  • Perform maintenance on engines, forklifts and cherry pickers.
  • Installation of new and rebuilt cranes onshore.
  • Assist in overhaul of cranes in shop.
  • Provide own hand tools.
  • Keep shop and grounds clean and maintained.
  • Maintain all shop tools, equipment and supplies.
  • Know and understand Sparrows Offshore’ Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality System manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
  • Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements.
  • Perform all other duties as required by Supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and diesel repair.
  • Must be able to identify major crane components.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.
  • 2+ years’ relevant experience.
