Overview

At Mitsubishi Power, the Assembly Repair Technician is responsible for disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling Roll-in Assemblies, working collaboratively with other technicians and supporting the Assembly Repair Supervisor in various initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates core competencies including action orientation and customer focus.
  • Maintain and execute assembly and repair processes within HRT.
  • Apply mechanical skills to optimize the repair and assembly of turbine components.
  • Continuously develop and refine standard procedures for operations.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and teams to ensure sufficient resources for safe work.
  • Support outage optimization efforts with duration-reduction strategies.
  • Perform disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly maintenance activities.
  • Accurately complete and review required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with EH&S to stay current on training and compliance requirements.
  • Actively contribute as a member of a collaborative team.
  • Provide technical support for maintenance activities involving turbines and generators.
  • Apply fundamental concepts for turbine-generator maintenance.
  • Ensure data systems are maintained and current.
  • Communicate professionally with peers and leaders.
  • Safeguard confidential information and comply with Export Control requirements.
  • Travel overnight approximately 20% or more as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One-year certificate from a college or technical school, at least three years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and professional correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Familiarity with basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply practical judgment to detailed instructions.
  • Basic proficiency with database, spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software.
  • Valid driver’s license and passport.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, positive, and inclusive team environment.
