Overview

The Marvin Group is a leading defense contractor based in Southern California, specializing in the development and manufacturing of systems for military aerospace and vehicles. They are seeking an Electrical Assembler III to assemble complex electrical assemblies and support various manufacturing processes in accordance with aerospace standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble complex electrical assemblies, cable harnesses, and electromechanical assemblies according to engineering drawings and aerospace standards.
  • Perform precision wire routing, crimping, soldering, harness fabrication, and component integration.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, bills of material, assembly travelers, wiring diagrams, and process specifications.
  • Conduct soldering and inspection activities in compliance with IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 requirements.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and verify product conformity to quality standards.
  • Identify, document, and escalate nonconforming material or process deviations.
  • Support and lead root cause and corrective action activities related to quality or production issues.
  • Maintain accurate production records and traceability documentation within ERP/MES systems.
  • Support and lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, and error-proofing initiatives.
  • Operate and support automated or semi-automated assembly equipment.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering with process validation and workflow optimization.
  • Train and mentor Electrical Assemblers Level I and II on workmanship standards.
  • Maintain compliance with ESD, FOD, safety, and clean manufacturing requirements.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Production leadership to meet commitments.

Requirements

  • 2-Yr Technical degree.
  • 5-7 years of experience in electrical assembly.
  • IPC-610 Certification: The Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies.
  • IPC-620 Certification: Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies or equivalent.
  • J-STD-001 Certification: Soldered Electrical & Electronic Assemblies.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to perform moderate, demanding, physical and repetitious work.
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

Additional Information

  • Work hours are from 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday.
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements.
