Overview

Mishimoto is seeking a full-time Engineering Technician to support product development by building prototypes, testing, and solving technical problems. The role involves hands-on work with vehicles and spans every stage of the product lifecycle, appealing to those with a passion for performance vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Build physical prototypes for the product engineers.
  • Conduct various experiments involving pressure, force, airflow, heat transfer, lifecycle, and destructive testing.
  • Document results and present data to engineers in a clear manner.
  • Inspect, package, and manufacture select products.
  • Create written install guides for new and existing products.
  • Remove and replace (R&R) parts on vehicles for product engineers.
  • 3D scan various parts of the vehicle for space claim.
  • Maintain all equipment and machines in the shop; maintain and continuously improve overall shop safety.
  • Champion growth and change for the department and the company.

Requirements

  • A personal passion for auto products and the industry.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, including welding, material selection, and assembly methods.
  • Strong timeliness and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Electromechanical experience building custom machinery or test rigs is a plus.
  • Ability to use 3D modeling software; read and create 2D drawings is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with vehicles (professional or general mechanics) is a plus.
  • S. in Engineering Technology or related degree, or a H.S. diploma with 5+ years’ experience in a relatable field.

Additional Information

  • Full-time, on-site role based at Mishimoto’s Garnet Valley, PA headquarters.
  • Shop, garage, and machine shop environment with regular exposure to power tools and equipment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lb.
  • Must be capable of standing, maneuvering, and working on vehicles for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Must be comfortable working in a garage and machine shop environment.
  • Light travel (less than 5%) may be required.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a manual transmission.
