This role as a Laborer in Construction allows for hands-on learning and skill development while adhering to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies
  • Submit accurate and signed time cards to Blaster/Foreman weekly
  • Quickly learn safety aspects of working construction sites and around explosives
  • Take direction and perform construction laboring activities
  • Occasionally work unsupervised
  • Pump blast holes dry with a water pump
  • Load and unload explosives from the truck
  • Carry buckets of stemming stone to stem blast holes
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site
  • Participate in monthly Foreman and periodic safety and job meetings as needed
  • Participate in daily heads up safety meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid Drivers License with a good driving record and own transportation
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check for ATF
  • Must be willing to travel to northern divisions for 6-8 weeks for training
  • Experience with construction laborer helpful, but not necessary
  • Ability to learn and develop skills for higher level tasks
