Job Description
Overview
Greenberry Industrial is seeking experienced Fitter-Welders to join their fabrication shop in Jennings, Louisiana. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in fabrication welding and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Reading and working from blueprints and specs to lay out and assemble metal parts
- Performing FCAW welding and must be able to pass a weld test
- Using various welding techniques including GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, SAW, and oxy-acetylene
- Cutting and shaping metal with torches, brakes, shears, and bending machines
- Fixing worn-out parts by welding on new layers
- Showing up on time, ready to work safely and efficiently
- Following all safety guidelines and company procedures
- Tackling any additional tasks as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication welding, with FCAW experience as a must
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail
- Positive attitude and solid communication skills
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English

What you'll be running
This posting calls for MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
