Overview

GrayWolf is seeking Structural Welders for their Rincon, GA project. As a heavy industrial/commercial construction contractor with over 45 years of experience, GrayWolf focuses on safety, quality, and performance while providing a competitive wage and benefits program.

Responsibilities

  • Work safely around construction field hazards.
  • Use hand, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools safely.
  • Read and understand plans, isometrics, arrangement drawings, and specifications.
  • Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
  • Secure components together using knowledge of geometry and welding techniques.
  • Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to secure them for welding.
  • Prepare material for welding by cutting or grinding.
  • Set material in stands, racks, or hoists for welding.
  • Set up equipment and weld parts using various welding methods.
  • Repair products by dismantling, straightening, and reshaping.
  • Reassemble parts using cutting torch and hand tools.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years heavy industrial field experience as a Welder.
  • Ability to identify all welding techniques (TIG, MIG, Arc, etc.) and understand metal properties.
  • Completion of welding certification(s) required by the company or client.
  • Must have a locking toolbox and necessary tools for the job.
  • Must successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.

Additional Information

  • Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Work in confined and cluttered spaces and uneven areas.
  • Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes.
  • Climb and maintain balance on steel frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
  • PPE footwear and prescription safety glasses or eye shields are required.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
