Overview

CR Meyer is a well-respected employer that offers an industry-leading compensation and benefit package. The Structural Engineer will provide structural engineering services within the Design/Build team, contributing to the success of heavy industrial customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide structural engineering services for the construction of various structures.
  • Collaborate with Designers to ensure projects meet design specifications and standards.
  • Develop conceptual designs and construction plans.
  • Participate in proposal meetings and provide expertise during planning.
  • Work with customers to determine cost-effective construction approaches.
  • Use technology to create drawings and plans.
  • Perform engineering calculations to meet structural integrity requirements.
  • Conduct site visits for measuring and documenting existing structures.
  • Perform structural inspections and provide repair details.
  • Coordinate with designated parties to get plans approved.
  • Work with the Construction Project Management team to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Notify the Construction Project Manager of engineering requirements.
  • Assist in the development of estimates and project schedules.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers and project teams.
  • Assist with QA/QC requirements.
  • Participate in safety training and promote safety on the job site.
  • Complete reports and paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Represent the CR Meyer brand professionally.
