Overview

HMH is a leading provider of drilling solutions, continuously expanding its expertise across various industries. The Welder III - 2nd shift position involves advanced welding operations, requiring a skilled professional to ensure compliance with quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced Hot Wire TIG (HWT) welding, cladding, overlay, and repair operations.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Hot Wire TIG equipment and automated welding systems.
• Review and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, work orders, BOMs, and technical specifications.
• Verify material identification, filler metals, welding parameters, and equipment settings.
• Monitor welding operations to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Perform preheat, interpass temperature monitoring, and other thermal process requirements.
• Conduct visual inspections of completed welds to verify workmanship.
• Complete weld traceability documentation, production records, and quality reports.
• Maintain welder qualifications, certifications, and continuity records.
• Inspect and maintain welding equipment and tooling.
• Follow all company safety, quality, environmental, and housekeeping requirements.
• Assist with training and mentoring less experienced welders.
• Collaborate with supervisors and quality personnel to resolve welding issues.
• Work independently on complex and critical weldments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced Hot Wire TIG (GTAW) welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy materials.
• Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot Hot Wire TIG welding equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Perform multi-pass welds while maintaining proper interpass cleaning and temperature requirements.
• Verify and control welding parameters including current, voltage, and heat input.
• Knowledge of weld metallurgy, preheat, interpass temperature control, and PWHT requirements.

Additional Information

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• No relocation assistance.
• Location: Houston, Tx-JFK.
• Hours: 3:00PM-11:30PM (Monday through Friday, with overtime as required).
