Job Description

Overview

Atkore is seeking a Welder I for the night shift in Houston, TX, offering a competitive wage of $22.00 per hour plus a shift differential. The role involves welding various cable tray products and requires adherence to safety practices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform setup, adjustments, and operation of welding machines.
  • Use basic fabricating tools such as a tape measure.
  • Interpret drawings and fabricate based on blueprints.
  • Fabricate according to customer requirements and specifications.
  • Participate in Atkore's safety program.
  • Cross-train in different areas of the shop as required.
  • Ensure all processes are carried out with the required use of safety controls and PPE.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
  • Technical School Welding Certificate (preferred).
  • 6+ months of welding experience.
  • Ability to work scheduled hours Monday-Friday.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to squat, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and work a 10-hour shift in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
