Overview

Core & Main, based in St. Louis, is a leader in advancing reliable infrastructure with a focus on water, wastewater, storm drainage, and fire protection products. The Lead Fabricator is responsible for manufacturing customized products, ensuring quality control, and coaching lower-level fabricators.

Responsibilities

  • Examines specifications of the customer’s order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints.
  • Fabricates work piece as determined by work order specifications.
  • Examines work piece visually or using measuring tools to ensure quality.
  • Follows company safety policies and procedures.
  • Coaches and trains lower-level fabricators on proper execution of duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience with fabrication shop equipment.
  • Metal working experience.
  • Ability to lead staff by example and handle light supervisory duties.
  • Familiar with training and coaching techniques.
  • Ability to adapt work practices and priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Time management and organization skills.
  • Knowledge of HDPE butt fusion and fabrication.
  • HS Diploma or GED, strongly preferred.
  • 4-6 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Additional Information

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs in a physical environment.
