Overview

Arcosa Shoring Products is seeking a foreman for their Houston, TX plant for the 2nd shift. The role involves overseeing and scheduling daily tasks for the crew and collaborating with team members, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a CNC work area that consists of lathes and mills.
  • Review all project activities, work equipment, and sites daily to ensure compliance with company standards and OSHA regulations.
  • Delegate jobs to team members based on their capabilities and project requirements.
  • Meet with other managers and necessary personnel to resolve conflicts and issues.
  • Train new crew members and provide ongoing education to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Direct layout on complex subassemblies and final products.
  • Check and monitor the fit-up and completion of final welds.
  • Layout and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.
  • Follow all safety rules and practices.
  • Maintain and complete all required records.
  • May participate in safety committees or initiatives.

Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience in a supervisory/foreman position in the Shoring Industry.
  • Ability to give direction and make decisions related to finances and crew members.
  • Minimum 2 years of knowledge in welding.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to work in high-stress conditions and quickly changing environments.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.

Additional Information

  • Hourly full-time position.
  • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas.
  • Position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond normal hours, shifts, and on weekends/holidays.
  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant.
