Overview

Bechtel is seeking a Mechanical Lead for the Nitrogen Recovery Unit to oversee commissioning testing of mechanical systems for the Port Arthur LNG project in Texas. The role requires strong communication skills and significant experience in commissioning mechanical systems in cryogenic environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the Mechanical Testing Execution Plan and sequence for mechanical testing scope.
  • Review scopes of work and scheduling documents for project requirements.
  • Submit daily and weekly progress reports to the Project Start-up Manager.
  • Participate in engineering design reviews and provide commissioning input.
  • Oversee the development of Mechanical test procedures for various components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or international equivalent and 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
  • Eight plus years of commissioning experience in cryogenic units such as LNG and Petrochemical facilities.
  • Good knowledge in mechanical testing and troubleshooting of compressors and turbines.
  • Familiarity with ASME B31.3, NFPA 70 E, and NFPA 59A Standards.
