Overview

Aggreko is seeking an Industrial Field Technician in Pearland, TX, to support temporary cooling tower solutions at refineries and heavy industrial facilities. The role involves the full project lifecycle, including installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform significant pipe fitting, piping, and hose hookup.
  • Install and set up temporary cooling tower equipment.
  • Conduct installation, maintenance, repair/replacement, and rotation checks for pumps and motors.
  • Carry out basic industrial electrical work and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain and inspect cooling tower equipment.
  • Support heat exchanger and chiller hookups through piping and hoses.
  • Test and prepare equipment for operation.
  • Operate manual valves and perform physically demanding field work.
  • Decommission equipment after project completion.
  • Handle daily jobsite safety and inventory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial construction or similar environments.
  • Experience with pipe fitting, pumps/motors, and basic industrial electrical work.
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Forklift certification/experience preferred.
  • Manlift/aerial lift certification/experience preferred.
  • Experience in refinery or heavy industrial settings is beneficial.
