Overview

As a Lead Equipment Operator with APTIM, you will operate various machinery for the installation of HDPE piping at landfill project sites. APTIM is a leading professional solutions firm specializing in environmental, sustainability, resilience, and infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow drawing sets to complete tasks on the project site.
  • Follow all maintenance and safety procedures.
  • Connect sections of pipe using HDPE welding machines and PVC pipe with glue and primer.
  • Maintain and adjust machinery to ensure proper performance.
  • Operate off road trucks and excavators on side slopes.
  • Measure materials or objects for installation or assembly.
  • Mix substances or compounds needed for work activities.
  • Repair or replace defective parts of machinery using hand tools.
  • Install well heads and valves.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 3 years of experience being an Equipment Operator.
  • Proficiently operates hand and foot levers to ensure proper operation of assigned equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of safely operating assigned equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and self-motivated.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
