Triple-S Steel is a company with over 50 years of experience, emphasizing stability, flexibility, and chemistry in its operations. They are seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician responsible for equipment and building maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and specifications to diagnose maintenance and repair requirements.
• Lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and carry it for 20 feet.
• Climb ladders and work from heights up to 40 feet.
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using various tools.
• Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency.
• Inspect or test damaged machine parts and advise supervisors of repair needs.
• Lubricate machines and machine parts according to specified procedures.
• Install, replace, or change machine parts according to production specifications.
• Record repair and machine maintenance information.
• Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines and equipment.
• Maintain facilities, including warehouses, production areas, and offices.
• Safely operate all assigned tools and equipment.
• Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Be aware of general OSHA requirements and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Read and interpret work orders and communicate in English.
• Demonstrate knowledge of maintenance and repair requirements for job-specific electrical systems.
• Use hand tools properly and demonstrate basic welding skills.
• Meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the company.
• Plan and organize work activities independently and in a team environment.
• Maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing, safety, and customer relations.
• Demonstrate intermediate math skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Valid driver license.
• At least five years in a position demonstrating strong mechanical and industrial skills preferred.

Additional Information

• The position is nonexempt (hourly) and typically reports to the Maintenance Manager or Operations Manager.
• Overtime hours may be required to meet customer needs.
