Overview

We are seeking a 2nd shift detail-oriented and reliable Mechanical Assembler responsible for the assembly and testing of enclosed drive gearboxes. This role involves gear box assembly, monitoring equipment, troubleshooting, and correcting errors, with a preference for candidates with experience in material traceability and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Performs gear box assembly and test
  • Reads blueprints, calipers and other measuring instruments, records dimensions, and other details on production logs
  • Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools
  • Maintains a safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Works with other facility teams (Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering) to ensure that assembly/test problems are addressed and resolved quickly
  • Leaning and reaching for long periods of time may be required
  • Overtime and occasional weekends will be required
  • Support all NOV HSE policies and procedures

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Background in industrial machinery assembly required
  • Must be able to read assembly blueprints in English format
  • Forklift skills required
  • Material handling experience required
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
