Join a department where your work directly fuels groundbreaking discoveries in cancer research. As part of the Operations & Maintenance (OAM) team, you will support world-class researchers, including a Nobel Prize-winning scientist, in a mission-driven community committed to eliminating cancer.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled plumbing work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of various utility systems.
  • Interpret and work from instructions, blueprints, sketches, and diagrams.
  • Estimate costs of work, requisition materials, and maintain inventories.
  • Coordinate and prioritize the workflow of plumbers, technicians, and mechanics.
  • Investigate outages and participate in process improvement initiatives.
  • Inspect contracted plumbing work for compliance.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work orders.
  • Respond to all critical equipment alarms and code red alarms.
  • Manage and assist in the preventative maintenance program for sterilization and glass wash equipment.
  • Oversee certifications and deliveries on all medical gases.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • One year post-journeyman plumbing experience.
  • Journeyman Plumber Texas license required upon hire.
  • Preferred: Completion of a recognized apprenticeship.
  • Preferred: Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester certification.
  • Preferred: Medical Gas Piping Installation certification.
  • Preferred: Valid Texas Drivers License.
