Overview

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is seeking an Assembler A for the 2nd Shift at their Los Angeles site. This position involves assembling mechanical assemblies for military parts and requires proficiency in using various hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies.
  • Ensure activities are performed correctly using proper tooling and documentation.
  • Perform lock wire/safety wire and nameplate tasks.
  • Identify best practices proactively.
  • Utilize hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, and soldering iron.
  • Interpret blueprints and verbal/written instructions proficiently.
  • Prepare materials including lapping surfaces with proper tooling techniques.
  • Perform visual inspections and handle defective items according to procedures.
  • Adhere to operational procedures and ensure tooling is calibrated.
  • Work collaboratively with others to complete assemblies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and may be reassigned to cover workload in other areas.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • 2 years in assembly within a manufacturing, aerospace, or military environment.
  • Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the Los Angeles, CA facility.
  • Must be a U.S. person to access export-controlled information.

Additional Information

  • 2nd Shift hours are between 1:45pm - 10:15pm.
  • The hourly rate is $27.95 plus a $2 shift differential.
