Overview

Northwood is a modern space infrastructure company focused on advanced communications technology, building a global network of phased array ground stations for satellite missions. They seek a Site Engineer Intern for the Summer 2026 internship to design, build, and deploy hardware for their operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own a ground station hardware project from inception to field deployment.
  • Get hands-on experience building complex ground support equipment, wire harnesses, and test setups.
  • Support ongoing critical site operations and troubleshoot issues with urgency.
  • Work closely with mentors and engineers to complete projects.
  • Gain exposure to real-world problems.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate level program in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
  • Ability to relocate to Los Angeles, CA for 12 weeks during Summer 2026.
  • Ability to work in a professional team environment with direct communication.
