Overview

The Maintenance Mechanic position is a second shift role at a globally recognized manufacturer of precision forged metal components, serving industries such as aerospace and defense. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment failures across the manufacturing facility.
  • Maintain and repair ring rolling machines, industrial furnaces, hydraulic presses, conveyors, and forklifts.
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance programs on all production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hose assemblies.
  • Repair and replace bearings, motors, gearboxes, belts, chains, and drive train components.
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and document safety check results.
  • Read and work from blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and OEM technical manuals.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and mechanical alignment tasks as required.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and aerospace manufacturing safety standards.
  • Keep accurate maintenance logs, repair histories, and parts inventory records.
  • Respond promptly to emergency equipment breakdowns to minimize production impact.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in an aerospace, defense, or heavy industrial manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Forklift certification a plus.
  • Welding certification or demonstrated welding experience a plus.
  • Industrial mechanical maintenance across heavy production equipment.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair.
  • Preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Forklift repair and maintenance.
  • Industrial furnace and press repair.
  • Welding and metal fabrication.
  • Blueprint and schematic interpretation.
  • Safety compliance including lockout/tagout and OSHA standards.

  • This is a second shift role from the hours of 4 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
  • Located in the greater Los Angeles area of Southern California.
