Overview

Jobot is seeking Maintenance Mechanics with experience in bottling and filling for all shifts. The company is a leading formulator, manufacturer, and distributor of pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare products, committed to improving lives every day.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance duties such as replacing valves, pumps, motors, and gear reducers.
  • Work with packaging equipment including labelers, rotary and in-line fillers, in-line cappers, jet printers, cartoners, bundlers, sleevers, heat tunnels, and case sealers.
  • Disassemble and assemble electric motors, pumps, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Repair machinery and conveyor belts.
  • Maintain basic electrical knowledge.
  • Keep technical and professional knowledge up to date.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as required for plant maintenance.
  • Basic machinist experience using lathe and mill is a plus.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the cosmetics, food, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Specific experience with bottle and/or tube fillers is required.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical processes.
  • Ability to read and work from mechanical and electrical prints.
  • Knowledge and skill to use a variety of hand and power tools as well as shop tools.
  • Analytically oriented to troubleshoot and establish root causes of problems.
  • Willingness to work overtime and be on call for off-hours emergencies.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is helpful but not mandatory.
