Overview
Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a Maintenance Technician I, Utility Worker for the 2nd Shift at their Fullerton, CA location. HFS is a leading global provider of aerospace fastening systems and plays a crucial role in various industries including aerospace and transportation.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble machines and take off parts for replacement or repair using cranes, hoists, hand tools, and jacks.
- Examine broken machine parts and identify defective parts or give recommendations to supervisors on repair requirements.
- Replace, fix, or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications.
- Put machine parts together after completing maintenance and repair work.
- Assist other maintenance team members in meeting department requirements.
- Work independently with little supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Exhibit outstanding ability to learn and comprehend the fundamentals of functioning machines.
- Demonstrate excellent understanding of hydraulic systems and troubleshoot using deductive reasoning and schematics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, apprenticeship, or equivalent preferred.
- Strong communication skills – written and oral.
- Electrical controls awareness a plus.
- Knowledge of machine mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and blueprint reading.
- Experience in maintaining and repairing injection presses.
- 3+ years previous manufacturing experience.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Fluency in English, written and oral.
- Ability to effectively work and communicate as part of a cell team.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
