Overview

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for facility maintenance, including preventive maintenance, machine repair, tool repair, and maintenance of the general facility.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly.
• Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, and replace filters.
• Use a variety of tools, including hand and power tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical components, pipe systems, and machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
• Clean and lubricate parts of machinery.
• Dismantle devices to access and remove defective parts.
• Identify and source spare and replacement parts.

Requirements

• Certificate or credential in a specialized field or trade.
• Experience with CMMS preferred.
• High School Diploma/GED required plus Technical/Trade School or equivalent experience.
• Prior manufacturing work experience in operating machinery and using hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret measuring devices.
• Must be able to work in the US.
• Skills in equipment maintenance, repairing, troubleshooting, active listening, installation, equipment selection, critical thinking, reading comprehension, operation monitoring, coordination, and teamwork.
• Ability to perform complex mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
• Detail and task oriented.
• Basic computer skills including MS Excel and Word.
