Overview

Since 1869, the company has connected people through food they love, managing a portfolio of trusted brands. As a Maintenance Technician on the 2nd shift, you will play a critical role in maintaining the facility's operations safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair plant production equipment using shop manuals and schematic drawings.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and basic control system issues.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and facility systems.
  • Maintain boilers, hot water systems, HVAC equipment, refrigeration systems, chillers, and fire protection systems.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform precise measurements, testing, and diagnostics to identify equipment issues.
  • Interpret ladder logic and basic control circuits to support troubleshooting activities.
  • Use electrical testing equipment to diagnose and replace electrical components.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while effectively prioritizing maintenance tasks.
  • Complete daily maintenance documentation and work order reporting.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office, SAP, email, and other systems to document work and communicate activities.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and cross-functional partners.
  • Follow all company policies and programs, including safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Safely operate in elevated work environments using ladders and lifts.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in ongoing technical training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic electrical training or equivalent experience for safe electrical troubleshooting.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience using basic hand and power tools safely.
  • Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to interpret ladder logic and basic control circuits.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, SAP, and email systems.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems involving multiple variables.
  • Commitment to safety, quality standards, and operational excellence.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding work.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to various hazards.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to successfully complete required aptitude testing and licensing requirements.

  • Pay Rate: $36.00/hour
  • Shift: 2nd Shift (Generally starts as early as 2:45 PM until finish.)
  • Employees must remain in position for a minimum of one year and complete a 90-day evaluation.
